Hola there you lovely people,

hope this week start is going on perfectly fine for you all. I don’t know if you have noticed or not but I have slowed down a bit on blogging these days due to my health issues. I have found out that I have got swelling in my bones. So I have decided to take more of rest, eat healthy all on priority to recover as soon as possible. Anyways, trying my best to keep sharing with you whatever and whenever it is possible. I am cooking/baking a bit more than what I am able to share here on the blog right now. Hope to be back on the track soon.

Summers are on its peak and I am enjoying trying out recipes with fresh fruits. This time I also added in some stone fruits like cherries and peaches in combination with musk melon and mangoes and made a simple yet super fruit crumble. Perfect and satisfying. Be it any season, it’s hard to say no to fruit desserts. Don’t you think so? Honestly, I count them in healthy clean eating with no guilt whatsoever even it is accompanied with some carbs here and there. (That’s absolutely okay). Simple yet delicious, this too is loved at home. I am sure you will enjoy it too when you make it.

Servings: 5

Preparation Time: 15 mins

Cooking Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

For the fruit base:

2 mangoes – cubed

1 muskmelon – cubed

1 cup cherries – pitted

7-8 ripe peaches – pitted, peeled and sliced

2-3 tbsp powdered sugar – depending upon the sweetness of your fruits

Juice of half lemon

For the crumble:

3/4 cup powdered sugar

3/4 cup plain flour

½ cup regular plain oats

½ cup almonds / walnuts – chopped

3 tbsp – cold butter – roughly chopped

Method:

  1. Wash your fruits properly, peel (mangoes, muskmelon and peaches) and cut into small cubes and add them to a medium bowl.
  2. Carefully remove the seed of cherries and also add them to the bowl.
  3. Add sugar and lemon juice and set aside for 15mins to let all the fruits soften up a bit.
  4. Till then preheat your oven to 200 deg C.
  5. Now prepare the crumble. Add all the ingredients given above for the crumble in a bowl and mix with a spatula such that the butter has broken into small pieces (and not melted). Don’t over mix trying to combine the butter completely into it. Just roughly, we want a crumbly texture and that’s it.
  6. Now in your baking pan, just place your fruits and top it with the crumble and bake for 30 mins at 150 deg C. You don’t need to do anything else seriously. As simple and obvious as the name suggests.

Enjoy !

  1. Sakshi, funny thing…I made a fruit crumble for the first time this weekend using berries from a farmers market and peaches. My family loved it. I loved it…and I love this recipe you’ve posted! The ingredients I used for the crumble are the same as listed here minus the almonds. Think I’ll try adding that next time. Love the post. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
